Keys and locks - the general information

Two sets of keys one of which should be stored (spare) constantly in a reliable place out of the vehicle without fail are included in the standard package of the car.


Each key approaches all locks of the car, namely:

a) to the ignition lock;
b) to door locks;
c) to the lock of a glove box;
d) to the trunk lid lock;
e) to the handle of remote unlocking of the lock of a trunk lid.

In each set of keys the plate with serial number of a set ascends. Number can be demanded for production of additional copies of keys instead of the lost. Store the plate in a reliable place, for a guarantee bring number in a notebook or store it in a wallet together with other documents of prime necessity. For production of additional copies of keys it is necessary to use only the preparations of keys which are officially approved by the Honda company.

Remote control uniform electric lock

The standard or additional complete set of some models can include system of the uniform lock. In such cases the charm with a remote control (DU) locks is added to structure of each of sets of keys.

System of an immobilization of the engine

The microchip making shutdown of the anti-theft device immobilizing the engine enters a head of keys of the models equipped with system of an immobilization of the engine.

Damage of a microchip can lead to loss of possibility of implementation of start of the engine! Do not allow excessive heating of keys, do not leave them for a long time under the influence of direct sunshine; try not to drop keys and not to put on them heavy subjects; avoid moisture influence, accurately wipe the become wet set dry soft fabric. No replaceable batteries to a microchip are provided, - at all do not make independent attempts to sort a key head!

Engine immobilization device

The engine immobilization device can be included in the standard package of anticreeping system of some models (more simply - an immobilizator). The device serves for prevention of attempts of unauthorized start of the engine and is effective anticreeping remedy, protecting the car from car thieves.

The engine of the car equipped with an immobilizator can be zap shchen only by means of the ignition key equipped with the built-in microchip. In a microchip the special code is ciphered, and the anticreeping system makes blocking shutdown only in case of its identification. Attempt of start of the engine by means of any other key or a master key leads to shutdown of a chain of start of the engine.

At ignition inclusion (the ignition key will turn in situation "ON" [II]) the control lamp of system of an immobilization lights up for some seconds, then dies away. The blinking of the indicator says that the system did not identify a key code. In this case it is necessary to switch off ignition (a key - in situation "LOCK" [0]) and to take out a key from the lock, then to repeat attempt.

There is a probability of neoknowledge system of a code of the key which is in the ignition lock if close are any other key with the built-in microchip. For reliable identification of a code we advise to keep each key in a separate sheaf.

If the system repeatedly refuses to identify a key code, address on car repair shop of the Honda company.

The blinking of a control lamp of an immobilizator comes also at turn of a key in the ignition lock from situation "ON" (II) (ignition is included) in situation ACC (I) (parking) or LOCK (0) (blocking of the lock of a steering column).

Do not make attempts to make any changes and additions to an immobilizator design. It can break normal functioning of electronic systems of the car and make it uncontrollable. In case of loss of a key and impossibility of start of the engine, address on car repair shop of the Honda company.

Ignition lock

The lock of ignition is located on the right on a steering column. The key can occupy one of four provisions in the lock:

a) LOCK (0) - blocking
b) ACC (I) - auxiliary consumers of the electric power (parking situation)
c) ON (II) - ignition is included by d) START (III) - start of the engine

The key can be entered into the lock or is taken from it only in this situation. At turn of the ignition key from situation "LOCK" (0) in the position "ASS" (I) there is an unblocking of a steering column. To turn a key from the position "ASS" (I) in situation "LOCK" (0), it is necessary to press slightly previously it, having a little drowned in the lock. Besides, on the models equipped with automatic transmission, an additional condition of permission of start is obligatory transfer of the lever of the selector to situation "P".

Blocking the helmsman of a column is carried out automatically in attempt to turn a steering wheel after extraction of a key from the ignition lock.

Blocking the helmsman of a column sometimes leads to impossibility to turn a key in the ignition lock. In such situation it is necessary to turn slightly a steering wheel in this or that party (for the purpose of removal of loading), at the same time turning a key in the lock.

Do not take a key from the ignition lock during the movement at all! It will inevitably lead to blocking of a steering column and loss of control over management. Take out a key from the lock only after a full stop of the car. The position "ASS" (I) - parking


In this provision of a key of a zazhig the niya is provided possibility of functioning of auxiliary consumers of the electric power (the audio system, the lighter, the heater fan, screen wipers, etc.).

Situation "ON" (II) - ignition is included

The ignition key is in this situation constantly during the movement of the car, and also during the operation of the engine on single turns. At turn of a key from the position "ASS" (I) situation "ON" (II) quickly joins some of the control lamps located on an instrument guard of the car, confirming serviceability of functioning of the relevant control systems.

On some models at turn of a key in situation "ON" (II) there is an automatic inclusion of head headlights (running fires of light time of day).

The situation "START" (III) - start

At turn of a key in this situation there is an inclusion of a starter. After implementation of start of the engine the key should be released, and it will automatically return to situation "ON" (II).

If the car is equipped with system of an immobilization, start of the engine will be blocked if the anticreeping system does not identify a key code (see above).

Uniform electric lock

Each of doors of the car is equipped with the button of switching off of the lock. The uniform electric lock provides opportunity at the same time to block or unblock all door locks by means of one button located on a driver's door. Buttons of other doors make shutdown only of the locks.

At an exit from the car it is possible to block the lock of any passenger door outside. For this purpose it is necessary to drown the button of switching off of the lock on an open door and then to slam a door.

Locks of forward doors can be blocked and unblocked outside of the car by means of a key.
If you lock or unlock the lock of a driver's door by means of a key, at the same time there is a blocking/unblocking of locks of all other doors of the car.

Some options of execution of the car provide also possibility of unlocking/locking by means of a key of a forward passenger door.

Prevention of wrong blocking of door locks

This device is included in the standard package of some models. If at an exit from the car to leave a key in the ignition lock, the device will not allow to make locking of a driver's door. In attempt to drown the button of switching off of door locks, buttons located on all doors of the car immediately automatically will jump out in the top situation.

System of blocking of locks of doors of the increased reliability

The system can be included in the standard package of some models and serves for increase of efficiency of anticreeping protection of the car and any, the subjects which are in it. For initiation of system it is necessary to turn twice within 5 seconds a key in the lock towards a car front.

Blocking of locks of doors on the models equipped with this system is made even at the lowered glasses and the open top hatch.

Possibility of unlocking of the doors blocked by means of this system from within the car is also absent!

Some options of execution of the car provide possibility of initiation of system of blocking of the increased reliability by means of the DU panel of the uniform lock.

Remote control uniform electric lock

The system of the uniform electric lock allows to make locking and unlocking of door locks without key. For simultaneous locking of all two yards, being near the car, press the top button of the LOCK panel, unlocking of doors is made by a nazhimaniye on the left UNLOCK button.

When unlocking door locks with on power of the DU panel there is an automatic inclusion of illumination of salon (the switch of the lamp has to be on average situation). If after removal of blocking of locks from the DU panel within 10 seconds opening any of doors is not made, illumination of salon will automatically be switched off. Relock of locks from the panel before the expiration of the stipulated 10 seconds, illumination of salon will instantly be switched off.

If any of doors of the car is not open within 30 seconds after their unlocking from the DU panel, there will be a repeated automatic blocking of all locks.

If the key is left in the lock of ignition or any of doors is closed insufficiently densely, the control of door locks by means of a remote control becomes impossible.

On some models provide on possibility of unlocking of a door of a back / cover of a luggage compartment by means of the DU panel of the uniform lock, - press on right lower the panel and hold it pressed within about one second.

If the key is in the ignition lock, unlocking of a door by means of the DU panel is not possible.


System of blocking of locks of doors of the increased reliability

This system can be included in a standard complete set of some models and serves for increase of efficiency of anticreeping protection of the car and any, the subjects which are in it. Initiation of system can be made from the DU panel for what it is necessary to press twice within 5 seconds the top button of the panel.

Blocking of locks of doors on the models equipped with this system is made even at the lowered glasses and the open top hatch.

Possibility of unlocking of the doors blocked by means of this system from within the car is also absent!


Replacement of a battery

The following external signs testify to decrease in level of a charge of a battery of the DU panel and need of its replacement:

a) At a nazhimaniye on panel buttons the indicator light-emitting diode which is built in a charm does not light up;
b) Locking/unlocking of doors demands a numerous nazhimaniye on panel buttons.
The "sat-down" battery should be replaced immediately new, the CR2025 type

For replacement of a battery, remove the round cover located on the back party of the DU panel. It is uncovered at its turn counterclockwise. For this purpose it is possible to use a small coin. Take an old battery from the panel, having paid attention to polarity of its inclusion. Fill a new element in the panel, having turned it the party with a sign "+" up.

Establish a cover on the regular place on the panel, having combined a mark CC in a cover, with a mark p on the case, then turn a cover clockwise.

Rules of the handling of the DU panel and care of it

Do not subject the panel to strong shock loadings, do not drop and do not throw it. Do not allow impact on the panel of excessively high and low temperatures, do not leave for a long time under the influence of direct sunshine. For cleaning of the panel outside use soft fabric. Use of solvents or aggressive cleaners can lead to a panel surface erosion. Immersion of the panel in water or other liquid is fraught with its exit out of operation.

In case of loss of the DU panel address on firm service station of the Honda company for acquisition of a replaceable copy and its programming under system of the uniform lock of your car. Along with acquisition and programming of the new panel it is necessary to reprogram the second remained panels.

Blocking of doors against opening by children

For prevention of casual opening by children of doors during the movement locks of back doors are equipped with the special blocking device. On a face surface of each back door there is a blocking rychazhok. If at an open door to transfer a rychazhok to the situation "LOCK" (BLOCKING) and then to close a door, it cannot be opened by means of the internal handle irrespective of position of the button of switching off of the lock. To open the back door blocked in such a way, it is necessary to lift the button of switching off of the lock and to use the external handle.


Lock of a door of a back/cover of a luggage compartment

Unlocking of a door of a back/cover of a luggage compartment can be made in two ways:

a) Pull on yourself the handle of remote unlocking of a door of a back/cover of a luggage compartment close to a driver's seat;
b) Insert the ignition key into the lock of a door/cover and turn it clockwise.

For locking simply slam a door/cover.

During trips on the car watch that a door the back/cover of a luggage compartment constantly remained closed. It will help to prevent its possible damages, and also will interfere with penetration into salon containing highly toxic monoxide of carbon (FROM) exhaust gases.

The handle of remote unlocking of the lock of a trunk lid can be blocked by means of the ignition key, - insert the ignition key into the lock, close to the handle, and turn it counterclockwise.


Ware box

For opening of a cover of a ware box it is necessary to wring out the button of its handle to the left, the zashchelkivaniye of the lock is made automatically when closing a cover; blocking of the lock can be made by means of the ignition key.

The open cover of a ware box at a road accident can become the reason of serious traumatizing the passenger sitting on a forward seat even if it will be fastened by a seat belt! Opening of a box at the included ignition is followed by automatic inclusion of its illumination.


Anticreeping alarm system

The anticreeping alarm system helps to prevent stealing of the car or plunder of valuable things from salon and a luggage carrier. In attempt of unauthorized penetration into the car or removals of the autoradio tape recorder the sound signal joins, and devices of external lighting blink: head headlights, lobbies and back dimensional lamps, and also indexes of turns. The sound alarm system works within two minutes, behind that the security system again joins in the mode on duty. On some options of execution of the car the sound signal is given only within 30 seconds. To install system in the mode of protection on duty, without waiting for the termination of two minutes, unlock one of forward doors of the car by means of a key or the DU panel of the uniform lock.

The alarm system turns on in the mode on duty automatically fifteen seconds later after all doors, a cover of a luggage compartment and a cowl of the car are closed. For activization of the alarm system it is necessary to lock locks of doors outside of the car: by means of a key, the button of blocking of the lock, the switch of blocking of the uniform lock or a remote control. Process of activization of the security alarm system is followed by a blinking of a control lamp of the system which is built in in assembly of the measuring instrument of level of fuel/temperature of cooling liquid of the engine of a combination of devices.

After completion of activization and inclusion of system of the anticreeping alarm system in the mode on duty opening of any door of the car (without use of a key or a remote control), leads covers of a luggage compartment or a cowl to inclusion of alarm. The sound alarm system also turns on in attempt of extraction of the autoradio tape recorder from the landing nest in control panels or when trimming an electrical wiring.

At the alarm system which is switched on in the mode on duty there is a possibility of opening of a cover of a luggage compartment without call of operation of the alarm system, - for this purpose it is necessary to use the main ignition key or a remote control. The alarm system will work only if the lock of a luggage carrier is forced or open by means of the button located in salon of the car on a driver's door.

The anticreeping alarm system does not rise in the mode on duty when one of car doors, the trunk lid or a cowl are closed leaky. If the alarm system does not become more active, look at a control lamp of leaky closing of doors and a cover of a luggage compartment on instrument a car guard (see the Section Equipment of the Car, an arrangement of devices and governing bodies), then manually check, whether the car cowl is closed.

Do not try to make changes to a design of system of the anticreeping alarm system or its separate knots. It can lead to decrease in efficiency of security functions of system.
