1. If screen wipers work too slowly, first of all check battery charge level (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance). At the serviceable battery remove an electric motor of the drive of screen wipers (see below) and try to move brushes manually, checking freedom of their movement. In case of need make the corresponding repair of drafts and grease axial knots. Establish an electric motor into place, include ignition and again start brushes. If the speed of work of screen wipers after the made corrections did not return to normal, check quality of contact connections of a chain and reliability of fixing of sockets, having paid special attention to a condition of grounding. At a serviceable chain replace an electric motor.

2. At refusal of activation of screen wipers check a condition of the corresponding safety lock. If a safety lock as it should be, establish a wire crossing point between the plug of grounding of a driving electric motor and mass of the chassis. Repeat check. If now screen wipers start functioning normally, restore reliability of contact knots of grounding. If the motor still does not work, transfer the switch of management of brushes to the mode of the maximum speed (HI) and check existence of tension on the socket of the conducting connected to an electric motor. For ensuring access to the socket it is necessary to remove the panel of a forward fairing (see the Head Kuzov) and assembly of an electric motor. If tension takes place, check the motor by direct connection to the battery by means of the wire crossing point equipped with a safety lock. If now the motor functions, check a condition of driving drafts of screen wipers. If the motor is not started, replace it. If tension is absent, check serviceability of giving of food for the relay of management of functioning of screen wipers. In the presence of tension on the relay and absence it on the motor check serviceability of functioning of the switch (see the Section Check of Serviceability of Functioning and Replacement of Understeering Switches). If the switch as it should be, most likely, failed the built-in control unit which diagnostics has to be made in the conditions of car repair shop with use of the special equipment.

3. At violation of serviceability of functioning of screen wipers in the interval mode check a condition of a chain on a site between the switch and the built-in control unit. If conducting as it should be, check resistance of the handle of management of delay duration on the combined switch (see the Section Check of Serviceability of Functioning and Replacement of Understeering Switches). At the serviceable handle it is necessary to make diagnostics of the built-in control unit in the conditions of car service.
4. If brushes stop in that position which they hold at transfer of the switch to the situation OFF, check serviceability of giving of food for the terminal switch of an electric motor. Tension has to take place on the corresponding wire of the socket of the motor at the switch translated in the situation OFF and the ignition included (ON), otherwise check for break an electrical wiring on a chain site between an electric motor and a safety lock.
5. If the stop of brushes occurs only after ignition switching off, disconnect an electrical wiring from the switch of management of functioning of screen wipers. If now brushes stop, replace the switch. If brushes continue to function, therefore, the limit switch of an electric motor is damaged, - replace the motor.
6. If brushes at a stop do not leave under the cowl plane, check driving draft for existence of foreign subjects under it. If nothing disturbs leaving of brushes in parking situation, check an electrical wiring on a chain site between the switch and the motor. In the absence of breaks replace the motor.

2. Uncover a forward fairing (see the Head Kuzov).

3. Remove driving assembly of screen wipers from a fairing.

4. Turn out bolts of fastening of the motor to driving assembly.

5. Remove an electric motor.
6. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the motor.
7. Installation is made upside-down.
