The power supply system consists of the fuel tank placed in it the electric fuel pump, the relay of the fuel pump, the fuel highway with injectors of injection, the regulator of pressure of fuel, assembly of the air cleaner and case of a throttle. All models described in the present manual are equipped with electronic system of injection of fuel.

System of programmable injection of fuel (PGM-FI)

In PGM-FI system electric impulses of accurately limited duration are used for management of injection of fuel through injectors directly to the inlet port of each of engine combustion chambers. The moment and duration of time of opening of each of injectors controls the module of management of functioning of the power unit (RSM). RSM continuously traces various working parameters of the engine and on the basis of the arriving information determines the demanded volume of the fuel injected into each of inlet ports. The throttle case in this case serves only for management of giving in an air power supply system. In view of the fact that each of cylinders is equipped with own injector, this scheme provides possibility of very exact management of composition of air and fuel mix.

Fuel pump and fuel pipes

Supply of fuel from a gasoline tank in system of injection and return of its surplus back in a gasoline tank is carried out on two metal lines laid under the car bottom. The submersible electric fuel pump is located in a gasoline tank and is united in uniform assembly with the fuel consumption sensor block. The system of return of fuel evaporations carries out removal of vapors of fuel back in a gasoline tank on the separate returnable line. Access to assembly of the gasoline pump/sensor of fuel consumption is carried out through a luggage compartment of the car by dismantle of a plastic cover.

The main PGM-FI relay (the relay of the fuel pump) is fixed on an arm under the dashboard from the driver's party of the car, is more left than a steering column. Control of functioning of the relay is exercised by some various electric contours. On one of these contours from the lock of ignition battery tension moves. The second contour is connected to RSM which makes one-second short circuit of the relay. In the course of a provorachivaniye of the RSM engine carries out short circuit of the relay on weight until the sensor of position of pistons (CYP) does not give out the corresponding signal (see the Head Engine management). In the absence of basic impulses within two-three seconds there is a shutdown of the pump. The third contour disconnects the relay at the released coupling pedal (model with RKPP), or at the AT selector lever brought out of situation "P". Protection of this contour against overloads is provided with a safety lock on 7.5 A.

System of production of the fulfilled gases

The system of production of the fulfilled gases of the V6 models consists of couple of final collectors, a Y-shaped reception pipe, the catalytic converter with the oxygen sensor (l-probe) located behind it, the muffler and an exhaust pipe. On 4-cylinder models the design of system of production of the fulfilled gases is even simpler as the catalytic converter connects a reception pipe to the only final collector of the engine.

The catalytic converter is one of the main components of system of decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases. On the considered models single-section converters with the 3-functional catalyst are used.
