1. The IAT sensor represents a thermistor (the resistor which resistance depends temperatures). Change of resistance involves change of amplitude of alarm tension of the sensor, and, than temperature is HIGHER, than subjects BELOW resistance, and vice versa. Failures of the sensor lead to record in memory of system of self-diagnostics of a code of malfunction of P0112 or P0113. 2. Check IAT sensor resistance. Disunite the socket of an electrical wiring of the sensor located on the inlet pipeline.
3. By means of an ohmmeter measure resistance between two plugs on the sensor. Resistance of the sensor depends on temperature and at 20 °C has to make about 2500 ÷ 3500 Ohm. Start the engine (or take the sensor and warm up it the hair dryer). At 83 °C resistance of the sensor has to decrease to value of 250 ÷ 350 Ohms. At negative results of check replace the IAT sensor.
