Removal and installation of the drive and lever of gear shifting

The models of cars considered in the present manual are equipped with system of additional safety (SRS). Before starting performance of any works near the block of a safety cushion, a steering column or the dashboard, disconnect SRS in order to avoid receiving injuries at its casual operation (see the Head Onboard electric equipment). It is easy to distinguish an electrical wiring of a chain of SRS on yellow color of isolation. |
Gear shifting drive cables

Even in case of break of only one of driving cables, their replacement is made in a complete set (in an individual order cables of the drive of a choice and gear shifting are not delivered). |
1. Unscrew the plastic handle and remove it from the gear shifting lever.
2. Remove assembly of the console (see the Head Kuzov).

3. Take the forelock, remove a washer and disconnect a driving cable from draft of switching, then give samokontryashchuyusya a nut and disconnect the second cable from the gear shifting lever basis. |
|
|
4. Take lock washers and release cables from an assembly bracket of the lever of gear shifting. |
|
|
5. Open a cowl and find the forward ends of driving cables). Disconnect cables from executive levers of a choice and gear shifting (the first is located from above on a switching mechanism cover, the second - assembly). Take lock washers and release cables from basic arms. |
6. Walk on cables to a partition of a motive compartment back and release from the last plugs through passage.
7. Extend cables outside.
8. Installation is made upside-down. At connection of the forward ends of cables track that the plastic washer was established between a tip of a cable and a steel washer (a cable of a choice of transfers) and between a steel washer and the forelock (a gear shifting cable). |

Gear shifting lever
|
|
|
1. Turn off and remove the plastic handle from the gear shifting lever.
2. Remove assembly of the console (see the Head Kuzov).
3. Disconnect from the lever basis cables of a choice and gear shifting (see above paragraphs with 1 on 7).

4. Turn out bolts of fastening of an assembly bracket of the basis of the lever. |
5. Remove assembly of the lever of switching.
6. Installation is made upside-down. |
