The intervals of routine maintenance of the car stipulated in the present Section are calculated on independent performance by the owner of the vehicle of all necessary procedures. Duration of intervals was defined proceeding from the assumption that the car is operated in the daily mode. Constantly to support the vehicle in dive of a form, some of procedures at desire of the owner can be carried out slightly more often. Authors of the present manual are sure that receiving the maximum return from the power unit of the car and its other knots and systems can achieve only on condition of a conscientious attitude of the owner to care of the vehicle. It is worth to remember as well about need of maintenance of a trade dress of the car on a case of its resale.

At operation of the car in the conditions of strongly dusty district, an intense city cycle (frequent short trips), and also at frequent towage of the trailer, intervals of performance of procedures of routine maintenance have to be, whenever possible, reduced to a minimum.

Servicing of the new vehicle has to be made in firm service center of the trade mission of the company manufacturer of the car in order to avoid violation of factory guarantee certificates.

Through each 400 km (250 miles) of run or times a week (that will come earlier)

· Check the level of motive oil (see the Section Check of Levels of Liquids).
· Check the level of cooling liquid of the engine (see the Section Check of Levels of Liquids).
· Check the level of liquid of washing of a windshield (see the Section Check of Levels of Liquids).
· Check the level of brake fluid and hydraulic liquid of the drive of coupling (see the Section Check of Levels of Liquids).
· Check pressure of a rating of tires (see the Section Check of a Condition of Tires and Pressure of Their Rating).

Through each 4800 km (3000 miles) of run or times in 3 months (that will come earlier)

In addition to the checks listed in the previous subsection:


· Check PAS liquid level (see the Section Check of Level of Liquid of the Power Steering).
· Check the ATF AT level (see the Section Check of the ATF AT Level).
· Make replacement of motive oil and an oil filter (see the Section Replacement of Motive Oil and Oil Filter).

Through each 12 000 km (7500 miles) of run or times in 6 months (that will come earlier)

In addition to the checks listed in the previous subsection:


· Check a condition of brushes of screen wipers, in case of need make replacement (see the Section Check of a State and Replacement of Brushes of Screen Wipers).
· Check a condition of the battery and make its service (see the Section Check, service and charging of the battery).
· Check a state and effort of a tension of driving belts, in case of need make the corresponding adjustment (see the Section Check of a State, adjustment of effort of a tension and replacement of driving belts).
· Check a condition of all hoses located in a motive compartment, in case of need make replacement (see the Section Check of a State and Replacement of the hoses located in a motive compartment).
· Check serviceability of functioning and a condition of components of the cooling system (see the Section Check of a Condition of Components of the Cooling System).

· Make replacement of a gas-distributing belt and belt of the drive of a balancing shaft (see the Head Dvigatel). ***

* At operation of the car in intense conditions carry out everything the procedures marked with an asterisk through each 12 000 km (7500 miles) of run or times in 6 months (that will come earlier).

The intense are understood as the following service conditions:

- Strong dust content of the district;
- Towage of the trailer;
- Long operation of the engine on single turns / the movement with low speeds;
- Low ambient temperature (it is below 0th °C) in combination with short trips (extent less than 6 km [4 miles]).

At operation of the car in any of the listed below conditions the procedures marked with two asterisks have to be carried out through each 25 000 km (15 000 miles) of run:

Intense city cycle at high temperatures of environment (over 32 °C);

The movement in the hilly or mountain district.

*** At operation of the car in all listed above conditions, replacement of a gas-distributing belt and belt of the drive of a balancing shaft should be made through each 96 000 km (60 000 miles) of run.

General information

This Chapter was formed with the purpose to help the owner of the car to support the vehicle in a condition of the maximum readiness for operation, receiving from it effective return with observance of requirements to profitability and safety.

At the beginning of the Head the schedule of routine maintenance of the car is provided. Below the Sections devoted to a detailed statement of an order of performance of each of service procedures separately are offered attention of the reader. Material of Sections included descriptions of visual checks, adjustments, procedures of removal and installation of components, and also various useful tips and recommendations. The illustrations given in the beginning of the Section with the image of types of a motive compartment, suspension brackets and a steering will help the reader to deal with placement on the car of the components which are subject to service.

Serving the car according to the kilometrazhno-time schedule, and following the detailed recommendations given below, the reader will receive the accurate action program which performance will provide long duration and reliability of service of its vehicle. Remember that this program is made on a complex basis and implementation only of its separate points with neglect others will not lead to desirable result.

In the course of service of the car the reader will soon be convinced that many procedures can, and have to, to be united in the general groups in view of similarity of the nature or proximity of an arrangement of knots. For example, if the car for any reason is lifted over the earth, it is necessary to take an opportunity and at the same time to check a condition of components of system of production of the fulfilled gases, a suspension bracket and a steering. Also, having hired a dinamometrichesky key, check effort of a tightening of all available carving fixture. Making rotation of wheels, at the same time estimate a condition of brake mechanisms and wheel bearings.

The first step of service of the vehicle is always self-training of the performer. Attentively examine material of the present Chapter, then make the list of the components needing attention, prepare the necessary tool and outline the short plan of the forthcoming works.
