On 4-cylinder models with RKPP the starter of production of the Nippondenso company with the fixed traction relay is used. In case of the last out of operation all assembly is subject to replacement. The description given below belongs to Mitsuba starters applied on the V6 models. |
1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action! |
2. Remove a starter (see the Section Removal and installation of a starter).
3. Disconnect the big wire connecting the traction relay to the starter electric motor plug.

4. Turn out long bolts of fastening of a face cover to a reducer casing. Remove the case of anchor assembly. |

|
5. Turn out fixing screws and separate a reducer casing from a forward cover of assembly. |
|
|
6. Turn out fixing screws from a casing of a reducer and remove the traction relay. |
|
|
7. Installation is made upside-down. Before assembly grease the lever of the drive and a plunger of the traction relay with assembly greasing. |
