Check of serviceability of functioning and replacement of understeering switches
|

The models of cars considered in the present manual are equipped with system of additional safety (SRS). Before starting performance of any works near the block of a safety cushion, a steering column or the dashboard, disconnect SRS in order to avoid receiving injuries at its casual operation (see the Section of the Safety cushion - the general information). It is easy to distinguish an electrical wiring of a chain of SRS on yellow color of isolation. |
The combined understeering switch of control of illuminants CHECK

1. The combined pediculate switch is located on the left side of a steering column and provides management of functioning of indexes of turns / to the alarm system, head headlights, a dimmer and parking fires.
2. Remove the switch.
3. By means of an ohmmeter or the lamp sampler equipped with the individual power supply check correctness of distribution of conductivity between switch plugs in its various provisions. In case of identification of violations replace the switch.

REPLACEMENT
|
|
|
1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery and wait not less than three minutes before starting dismantle of a slip.
|
|
If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action! |
2. Remove a knee emphasis and covers of a steering column (see the Head Kuzov).
3. Turn out fixing screws, disunite sockets of an electrical wiring and remove assembly of the switch from a steering column.
4. Installation is made upside-down. |

Understeering switch of management of functioning of cleaners/washers of a windshield CHECK

1. The switch is located under a steering wheel on the right on a steering column.
2. Remove the switch.
3. By means of an ohmmeter or the lamp sampler equipped with the individual power supply check correctness of distribution of conductivity between switch plugs in its various provisions. In case of identification of violations replace the switch.

Switch of management of functioning of a control system of speed (tempostaty) CHECK
|

1. On the considered models the SET/RESUME switch of a tempostat is built in in a steering column whereas the main switch of system (ON/OFF) is on the dashboard, to the left of a steering wheel. The description of procedures of check and replacement of the main switch is provided the Section Check of Serviceability of Functioning and Replacement of Switches of the Dashboard.
2. Remove the SET/RESUME switch from a steering column.

3. By means of an ohmmeter or the lamp sampler equipped with the individual power supply check existence of conductivity between switch plugs in each of its provisions (see an accompanying illustration). In case of need replace assembly. If check confirms serviceability of the switch, however its functioning is broken, check a condition of the electrical wiring connecting assembly to the control unit located under the dashboard. |

REPLACEMENT

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery and wait at least three minutes before starting procedure performance.

|
If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action! |
2. Remove from a steering wheel the safety cushion module (see the Head Podvesk and a steering).
|
|
3. Turn out fixing screws, disunite electric sockets and remove the switch from a steering wheel. |
4. Installation is made upside-down. |
