The models of cars considered in the present manual are equipped with system of additional safety (SRS). Before starting performance of any works near the block of a safety cushion, a steering column or the dashboard, disconnect SRS in order to avoid receiving injuries at its casual operation (see the Section of the Safety cushion - the general information). It is easy to distinguish an electrical wiring of a chain of SRS on yellow color of isolation.
This procedure belongs only to measuring instruments of analog type. |
Measuring instruments of fuel consumption and temperature of the engine All listed below checks are made at the switched-off ignition (a key in the situation OFF).
If the arrow of the measuring instrument constantly is in zero situation (an empty tank, or the cold engine), check a condition of a safety lock. If a safety lock as it should be, find the block of the corresponding sensor (see the Head of the Power supply system and release [the fuel consumption sensor], or the Head of the Cooling system, heating [temperature sensor]). A wire crossing point close the sensor socket on weight.
For a moment include ignition, having turned a key in the situation ON. If there is a measuring instrument arrow throw, replace the sensor, otherwise by means of a wire crossing point ground the sensor plug on the back party of the measuring instrument. If when grounding the last plug of the shooter of the measuring instrument it is displaced in the maximum situation, the problem consists in malfunction of a condition of an electrical wiring on a chain site between the measuring instrument and the sensor. If the arrow remains in former (zero) situation, check tension on the second plug of the measuring instrument at grounded by the first, - tension has to be absent, otherwise replace the measuring instrument. |
