Check of serviceability of a state and replacement of the sensor of VMT/provision of a cranked shaft (TDC/CKP)

CHECK

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The sensor of provision of a cranked shaft (SKR) serves for definition of the moments of injection and ignition of fuel in each of engine cylinders. The BMT (TDC) sensor is used when determining a corner of an advancing of ignition at the time of start of the engine. On 4-cylinder engines TDC and SKR sensors fasten under the lower cover of a gas-distributing belt. The V6 models are equipped with two TDC sensors installed behind a cover of a casing of a camshaft of a forward number of cylinders and one SKR sensor fixed under the lower cover of a gas-distributing belt. Failure of the CKP/TDC sensor on 4-cylinder models leads to record in memory of system of self-diagnostics of a code of malfunction of P0335, P0336, P0361 or P0362. On the malfunction V6 models in a chain of TDC sensors are characterized by the P1361, P1362, P1366 or P1367 codes. Codes of failures of the SKR sensor are combinations of P0335 and P0336. 4-cylinder models

2. Disunite the socket of an electrical wiring of the sensor and connect an ohmmeter to contact plugs 1 and 2. The demanded values are given in Specifications to the present Chapter. This check allows to make sure of serviceability of functioning of the BMT (TDC) sensor. Now connect an ohmmeter to plugs of the SKR sensor (plug 3 and 4). Compare result of measurement to requirements of Specifications.

3. Make sure of lack of breakdowns on the mass of each of plugs: conductivity should not be.
4. In case of negative results of the described check replace the CKP/TDC sensor.

V6 models

5. For check of the SKR sensor disunite the socket of its electrical wiring and connect an ohmmeter to plugs 1 and 2. Compare result of measurement to requirements of Specifications.

6. For check of serviceability of functioning of BMT (TDC) sensors disunite the corresponding socket and measure resistance between plugs 1 and 2 (No. 1 VMT sensor) and 3 and 4 (sensor No. 2). Compare result to requirements of Specifications.

7. Make sure of lack of breakdowns of each of plugs on weight.
8. At negative results of the described checks replace the faulty sensor.

REPLACEMENT

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action!

2. For the purpose of ensuring access to BMT (TDC) and SKR sensors on 4-cylinder engines it is necessary to uncover a gas-distributing belt (see the Head Dvigatel).

3. Only the SKR sensor is located on the V6 models under a cover of a gas-distributing belt. Procedure of removal of a cover is described in the Head Dvigatel.

4. Further, to reach VMT sensors No. No. 1 and 2 (V6 engines) it is necessary to remove a cogwheel and a back cover of a gas-distributing belt from a forward head of cylinders, - see the Head Dvigatel.
